Community Leadership Team (CLT)
This group of 12 Kenyan individuals and organisations is vital in helping to define the project's vision and values, develop an organizational structure, conduct a needs assessment, and gain community support.
This diverse group includes individuals from various professional backgrounds, such as government officials, representatives from civil society organizations, VET trainees, VET management, advocates for gender equality, women’s empowerment representatives, faith-based organizations, local business owners, policymakers, and members of the education sector.
Following a series of local informal meetings a formal meeting was held on 22nd May 2025.
The project Partners had put together a detailed presentation for the CLT members, designed to provide them with crucial information about the DiT-ENT project. The presentation touched on several key points, including an overview of the project, the partners involved, its objectives, and the supportive environment surrounding it.
After the presentation, CLT members had the chance to share their thoughts and ask questions.
Training Programme - VET Trainees - Evaluation
Project partners developed a comprehensive training programme aimed at teaching VET young trainees essential workplace skills, IT skills, and entrepreneurship skills, such as developing a business plan, raising finance, marketing products or services, and addressing staffing issues. This program also included training modules on integrating new technologies like basic 3D printing and artificial intelligence into a company. The programme was subsequently evaluated by 59 Kenyan individuals during May 2025.
The results of the evaluation of the training programme were well received. For example ‘....One of the standout strength was presentation of entrepreneurial journey from ideation phase to implementation and financial management aspect...’.
Many respondents said they would recommend the course because it provides valuable knowledge for learners, helps build their skills, is great for those new to the technology industry, and is one of the easiest entrepreneurship modules, aiding in navigating that path.
